Severin Hacker is the co-founder and chief technology officer of Duolingo, a language-learning platform that teaches through short, game-style lessons. He holds a computer science degree from ETH Zurich and a PhD from Carnegie Mellon University, where he began developing Duolingo with his doctoral adviser, Luis von Ahn.
