Lilian Weng

Lilian Weng is a co-founder of Thinking Machines Lab, an AI company that builds tools for fine-tuning language models, which she left in July 2026. She spent about seven years at OpenAI, where she worked on robotics, led the safety systems team and became vice president of research and safety in 2024.
