Dario Amodei (born 1983) is an American artificial intelligence researcher and entrepreneur. He co‑founded Anthropic in 2021 and serves as its CEO. Previously, he was vice president of research at OpenAI, where he helped develop large language models such as GPT‑2 and GPT‑3, and earlier worked as a senior research scientist at Google Brain and as a research scientist at Baidu. He holds a BS from Stanford University and an MS/PhD in biophysics from Princeton University, and completed a post‑doctoral fellowship at the Stanford University School of Medicine.

Current role is Co-Founder and CEO at Anthropic. Based in San Francisco, California, United States.
