Humble Robotics Secures $24 Million Seed Funding to Advance Cabless Autonomous Haulers

Humble Robotics, a San Francisco-based startup, has emerged from stealth with a $24 million seed funding round led by Eclipse, with additional participation from Energy Impact Partners and RedBlue Capital. The company introduced its flagship product, the Humble Hauler, a cabless, battery-electric Class 8 freight platform designed for autonomous dock-to-dock operations.

The Humble Hauler utilizes 360° sensor coverage and a vision-language-action (VLA) autonomy stack, which is intended to allow the vehicle to reason about the world and take appropriate actions even in novel scenarios, enabling direct unloading at docks without human intervention. The company completed its first prototype in approximately six months and plans to use the seed funding to further develop the vehicle, expand its autonomy stack, conduct pilot deployments, and initiate early manufacturing.

Humble Robotics is strategically targeting controlled environments such as yards, ports, and railyards for initial deployment to minimize regulatory and operational risks. The U.S. truck-based freight market, valued at around $906 billion, presents a significant opportunity, with investors highlighting potential efficiency gains of 30-50% for logistics operators as a compelling value proposition.
